Medical workers get free flights from Qatar Airways

To celebrate International Nurses Day, Qatar Airways has announced it will be giving away 100,000 international flights to frontline medical workers. Healthcare professionals from every country is eligible for entry to win a pair of tickets.

"Thank you to all of the frontline healthcare professionals across the globe. Your tremendous efforts and incredible resilience have given us hope in these times of uncertainty", it says on their website's page. The airline urges that the complimentary flights will be fully flexible given the current climate and the uncertainty during the coronavirus pandemic.



Nominations will be accepted from May 12 through May 18. All you have to do is to to fill a brief form on submission page. As a healthcare professional, you are entitled to the following benefits:


  • Up to two complimentary return Economy Class tickets for yourself and a companion, so you can take a well-deserved holiday to a destination of your choice within Qatar Airways network. 

  • Receive 35% off at Qatar Duty Free outlets at Hamad International Airport in Doha.

Qatar Airways says it will increase operations to a total of 80 destinations by the end of June, “in line with the expected relaxation of entry restrictions around the world”.

The Gulf carrier is currently flying to just over 30 destinations, and intends to increase this to 52 destinations by the end of June.
